RP 3 - Xanadu

Hi, this is where the 3rd RP will be :P I shall try to write the storyline as best as I can, I am tired this morning.

So the last one didn't work so well. Maybe there wasn't enough people? Boring storyline? Too much going on at once? Well, this one will be different. I have tried to come up with as many reasons why the last on didn't work, and make sure this one has a solution to them all. Also, I looked at the first RP and thought about why that one did work well. So I have come up with something pretty good (I hope!).

Before I start, just remember the rules. People did follow them well last time, but I just want everyone to be clear. Make sure you check the topic for RP rules in the RP section if you aren't sure!

Xanadu

All throughout the lands, many battles and wars take place. The world is full of a rich history, involving sword battles, dragon slaying and numerous other epic fights. Magic and wonderous phenomenons fill the air, allowing people to harness their power, and become wizards if they so wish. The courage and bravery of people shines true as well; many warriors wander the land, in search of a great quest or people to aid.
But there is one adventure that stands out from all of the others.
When a simple man brings back a book he bought from a market to his friends, they all discover that there is a place of many riches, and power far beyond comprehension.
It's name - Xanadu.
The group of friends must learn to fight if they wish to find the ancient land; either with magic or sword, as there are many dangerous challenges and monsters along the way. Will you join them? Sign up now!

Characters are going to be more free this time. You can decide almost all of the details of the sheet yourself, free of any specifics. Just please make sure your character is sane, without superpowers or anything stupid. Also, this follow a WoW based 'medieval' theme, so please don't make your job office worker or anything like that!

Well, it's generally gonna be a space adventure story. Couldn't give too much away, otherwise it'll feel too tight like the last one. I'll make some adjustments.

Yeah sorry Oli, the theme isn't my thing really.

perhaps the whole space adventure thing seems to tacky. maybe it's because we prefer mysterious magic rather than futuristic technobabble

A medieval fantasy will be fun. Something to keep us going through the winter. Heres my character sheet.

Personality: Insular and withdrawn to strangers, warm and protective over his few friends
Extra Notes: Lives in a cave in the mountains above the village. Villagers widely regard him with suspicion due to his elusiveness and rumours abound over dark magic taking place within his cave. Infact the few people that know him know that he dedicates his life to peace and is motivated by his compassion for all the creatures and people around him. His cause is not helped by the fact he gets drunk whenever there's a full moon and has a tendency to dance naked round a large fire.

Personality: Mysteriously intriguing, Somewhat cold towards others, Easily provoked
Extra Notes: His necromancy skill covers reviving dead, dark enchantments, and the summoning of otherworldly creatures. His natural dispostion, and practice of dark arts, makes him feared by many, and hated by many more. Some say he came from the great City of the Moon on the other side of the world. Relatively 'friendly' (by his standards) towards Geshe, having known him for quite some time, and really only tagging along because he has a feeling that the book holds spellbindingly powerful (almost destructive, if used wrongly) secrets.

IMO, Xanandu sounds like Jumanji or Zathura... or a cross between the two ;D

You caught me Missy. It has happened on a couple of occasions for, errrmm, research purposes but in my defense I did keep my socks on. Miako will be able to confirm this no doubt

Personality: Warm, motherly, approachable.
Extra Notes: Kayleigh has developed the ability to use magic to cure and heal the sick and wounded. Shes very much a lover and takes great care over animals & nature. She's quite motherly over her friends and will fight fiercely to protect them. Despite being young and having a petite build she's a tough cookie both emotionally and physically. Kayleigh often is the peace keeper in the group.

Also, Lorlina I have had a think and have decided your char needs a slight nerf :O. Any very strong powers, eg bringing people back from the dead must come at a great cost.
